     John Dugdale was born on 12 August 1823.¹ He was baptized on 7 September 1823 at Padiham, Lancashire.² He purchased the manor of Crathorne. He bought it for the shooting and fishing and never lived there permaently. in 1844.³ He was a Calico Printer in 1851.⁴ He married Charlotte Artindale on 16 May 1860 at Burnley, Lancashire.¹ John Dugdale was a calico printer and manufacturer in 1861.⁵ He lived in 1861 at Lower House, Habergham Eaves, Lancashire.^1,4 He lived in 1871 at New Road, Eccles, Manchester; Probably at Irwell Bank.⁶ He was a merchant - Home trade in 1871.⁶ He lived in 1881 at Landsdowne Crescent, Layton with Warbreck, Lancashire; Whole family staying at Lodging House.⁷ He was a Landed Proprietor in 1881.⁷ He died on 29 December 1881 at Irwell Bank, Pendleton, Lancashire, at age 58.¹ His estate was probated on 13 February 1882 at Irwell Bank, Salford, Lancashire; Personal effects £435,912 18s 6d.⁸

     Charlotte Artindale was born circa 1841 at Habergham Eaves, Burnley, Lancashire.² As of 16 May 1860,her married name was Dugdale.¹ She married John Dugdale, son of James Dugdale and Ellen Martland (Maitland), on 16 May 1860 at Burnley, Lancashire.¹ Charlotte Artindale died on 18 March 1891.¹

     James Lionel Dugdale was born on 19 September 1862 at Pendleton, Salford, Lancashire.^1,2 He lived in 1881 at Eton College, Windsor, Bucks.³ He lived in 1891 at Goldington House, Sarratt, Hertfordshire; Living with sisters Gertrude and Violet.⁴ He married Maud Violet Woodroffe on 11 December 1894 at St Georges, Hanover Square, London.⁵ James Lionel Dugdale laid the foundation stone of Crathorne Hall. The country house took 3 years to build and was the largest such house built in King Edward's reign. in 1903. He lived in 1906 at Crathorne Hall, Yam, Yorkshire. He died on 17 October 1941 at age 79.¹

     Edith Elizabeth Chown was born circa 1874 at Brixton, London.¹ As of circa 1897,her married name was Blatchly.¹ She married Walter Charles Blatchly, son of Charles James Blatchly and Ellen Smith, after October 1897 at Kingston, Surrey.¹

     Charles H Blatchly was born in 1899.¹

     Annie (?) was born in 1837 at Devon.¹ As of circa 1865,her married name was Blatchly.¹ She married Benjamin Daniel Blatchly, son of John Blatchly and Rebecca (?), circa 1865.¹

     Alfred Blatchly was born in 1866 at Westminster, London.

     Edwin Blatchly was born in 1869 at Westminster, London.¹

     Minnie Blatchly was born in 1871 at Westminster, London.¹

     John Peacock was drowned. From Jamaica:
....CAPTAIN JOHN PEACOCK, OF THE BRIG ISABELLA, DIED 7th AUGUST, 1853, AGED 42 YEARS. THIS TOMB IS ERECTED BY HIS DISCONSOLATE WIDOW, WHO ACCOMPANIED HIM TO THIS ISLAND.......² He was born on 4 June 1811 at Fylingdales, Yorkshire.¹ He married Mary Welburn on 8 August 1837. John Peacock died on 7 August 1853 at Kingston, Jamaica, at age 42; Drowned.²
