He was baptized on 19 August 1781 at Ringwood, Hampshire.¹ He married Sarah Beazley, daughter of William Beazley and Sarah Elizabeth Morgan, on 19 July 1808 at Alverstoke (Gosport), Hampshire.³ Thomas Blake lived in April 1841 at Medina Brewery, West Cowes, Hampshire; living with daughters Catharine, Julia and Mary (aged 50, most likely a sister.)⁴ He lived on 26 February 1845 at Medina House, West Cowes, Isle of Wight; Letter to Medina Sarah Griffiths, his grandaughter on her 5th birthday. He was a brewer in April 1851 at Medina Road, Northwood, West Cowes, Isle of Wight.⁵ He lived in April 1861 at 14 Medina House, Medina Road, West Cowes, Hampshire.⁶ He was a brewer, employing three men (aged 81) in April 1861.⁶ He died on 25 October 1862 at Cowes, Isle of Wight. He was buried on 29 October 1862 at Northwood Cemetery, Cowes, Isle of Wight; Plot number 6 2525. Mary Griffiths, his daughter in same plot. His estate was probated on 24 January 1863; left 'effects under £1500'. Samuel Blake, nephew was executor.⁷
